IDHA(Iminodisuccinic acid) is a 100% water-soluble and completely biodegradable chelating agent. It is a new environmentally friendly chelating agent that can replace traditional chelates.
Chelated trace elements in agricultural applications can organize correction and minimize nutrient deficiencies, thereby increasing crop yields and efficiency. EDTA is well known as a chelating agent that can maintain iron and other trace elements in solution. And therefore often used in agronomic conditions where crop yields are significantly reduced due to iron and other trace elements.
However, issues related to the long-term use of EDTA products deserve increasing attention. Traditional chelating agents such as EDTA or DTPA are not highly soluble and difficult to biodegrade. They generally accumulate in the environment and have been detected in rivers, lakes, soil and water treatment processes. This is why the new biodegradable chelating agent IDHA was developed.
Characteristics of IDHA as a new fertilizer synergist
1. 100% absorption, no residue, fast absorption
IDHA chelate is finally converted into amino acids and nutrients in the plant body and is absorbed and utilized simultaneously without leaving any residue.
2. IDHA chelate is environmentally friendly and has unique degradation properties
Currently commonly used chelating agents such as EDTA, DTPA, EDDHA, and EDDHA are being restricted in use due to their poor biodegradability and causing serious pollution to the environment. EU Directive 1999/476/ECL187/52 has banned their use in detergents. Use in other areas will be gradually banned.
The chelating agent IDHA is the only environmentally friendly product that is synthetically produced and completely biodegradable, and will surely replace other chelating agent products in the future.
In short, IDHA, as a chelating agent, has wide applicability in fertilizer and pesticide applications. Due to its high bioavailability and environmentally friendly and efficient characteristics, it is an ideal choice to improve the yield and quality of agricultural products. At the same time, as a substitute for amino polycarboxylic acid chelating agents, it is easily soluble in water, easy to absorb and has no antagonistic effect, making it more convenient to use.
