Zinc sulphate heptahydrate is an inorganic compound, the molecular formula is ZnSO4.7H2O, commonly known as alum, zinc alum.
The main function of zinc sulphate heptahydrate:
- Feed grade can be used as trace element additive in animal feed;
- Food-grade is used in the pharmaceutical industry as an emetic, and can also be used as a food supplement such as a nutritional supplement (zinc fortifier);
- Main raw material for other zinc salts (such as zinc stearate, basic zinc carbonate) and zinc-containing catalysts.
- Auxiliary raw materials for printing and dyeing, such as: mordant, anti-alkali agent for varamine blue salt dyeing, and can also be used to manufacture inorganic pigments (such as lithopone);
- It can be directly used for sewage treatment, and it is also a raw material for manufacturing sewage treatment agents;
- Used as wood and leather preservative, bone glue clarification and preservative
- Insecticides against fruit tree pests
- Manufacture of cables, electroplating, electrolysis and paper making and micro fertilizer for crops, etc
